Jones, Otjen, Davis & Nixon,
A Professional Association of Attorneys practices in the following areas of law:

Litigation and related matters in State and Federal Courts.
Firm Profile:
The predecessor firm was established prior to statehood in Enid, Oklahoma Territory, in 1905 by Charles O. West, who became the first Attorney General of Oklahoma in 1907, and W.J. Otjen, Sr., a prominent State Senator who successfully prosecuted the removal from office of Governor Jack Walton. He later became National Commander of Veterans of the Spanish-American War. Senator Otjen's uncle, Congressman Theobald Otjen, appointed young Douglas McArthur to the United States Military Academy. Frank Carter became Senator Otjen's secretary and was the last lawyer in the county to have been admitted to the Bar on the basis of law office study. He later became Mayor of Enid.

Mr. Jones achieved national publicity when he was appointed by the United States District Court to serve as lead defense counsel for Timothy James McVeigh, charged with the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995. Notwithstanding that controversial case, the firm has a long history of representing clients ranging in size from Fortune 500 corporations to family-owned businesses and individuals. The firm limits itself to litigation and appellate practice involving civil, commercial, insurance, criminal, family law and matters in state and federal trial and appellate courts, and matters relating to the United States Grand Jury, the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation Division, the Enforcement Division of the Oklahoma and United States Securities & Exchange Commission, and military court martial matters.

The firm maintains offices in both Enid and the capital city, Oklahoma City.
